“Towards a Global Network of Digital Twins of the Ocean” EDITO Side Event at DITTO Summit 2026
Join an international knowledge exchange with the global ocean community! Through an online webinar series and collaborative whiteboard, this Side Event brings stakeholders together to discuss diverse user needs, expectations, opportunities and challenges at regional level regarding Digital Twins of the Ocean (DTOs). Participants are invited to shape a shared vision, find common ground, and make recommendations across regions to accelerate the deployment of interoperable DTOs around the world, towards a collaborative, global digital ocean.
This event is co-organised by EDITO implementing partners, Mercator Ocean International, VLIZ, and Seascape Belgium and in collaboration with the United Nations Decade Coordination Office for Ocean Data Sharing (DCO-ODS), the Ocean Prediction Decade Collaborative Centre (OPDCC) and the Decade Collaborative Centre for Coastal Resilience (DCC-CR).
