EDITO had a stand in the exhibition centre and hosted sessions showcasing recent developments of the European Digital Twin Ocean, including live demos of EDITO services and EDITO Call 1.

IDEATION Final Multi-Stakeholder Forum

IDEATION is an EU-funded project that lays the foundation for a Digital Twin of European inland waters, this initiative is designed to interconnect with EDITO to form a coherent digital representation of the hydrosphere.
Aiman Shaikh from VLIZ – Flanders Marine Institute represented EDITO during the IDEATION Multi-Stakeholder Forum at a panel discussing digital twins as crucial infrastructures for European water resilience.

Blue-Cloud 2026 Webinar: Artificial Intelligence as a Tool for Ocean Literacy

Zakaria Aissa Abdi from Mercator Ocean International shared how AI is advancing ocean forecasting and benchmarking harnessing EDITO, the public platform of the European Digital Twin Ocean.
The talk focused on forecasting models and benchmarking tools available on the EDITO DataLab including GLONET (GLObal Neural Network) and OceanBench.

Marine Data for Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) workshop

She discussed EDITO’s service offering and how the platform supports research and action to address challenges like climate change, competing ocean uses, and sustainable marine management.
